We are very pleased to announce that Harbor Enterprises, Inc., dba Petro Marine Services has acquired Thompson Transfer, Inc.! Thompson Transfer has been a long-time Kodiak heating fuel distributor and valued customer of Petro Marine Services for more than 20 years. In those years, Thompson Transfer and current owner, Chris Magnusen served the community's heating fuel needs with dependable, quality service! We appreciate the opportunity to continue to care for his valued customers.

Although we service many communities in the great state of Alaska, we never cease to look on you, our customer, as an important part of our extended family! Our philosophy is based on simple principles; "Fine Fuels and Super Service and Quality Lubricants".

The company is owned by Carol Ann Lindsey, who was born and raised in Seward, Alaska. A brief stroll in our history book will convince you we are a company with strong Alaskan roots. In 1956, Dale, her husband, joined Andy's Oil, a small town heating fuel delivery service established in 1936 in Seward, Alaska, as a truck driver. In 1959, Dale and Carol acquired Andy's Oil and embarked on an adventure that would lead their business to become successful and one of the oldest independent petroleum distributorships in Alaska. With the purchase of Chevron USA's bulk fuel facilities in Seward in 1982, they took a significant step toward becoming an investor in the marine fuel market. The company entered a period of dramatic growth in 1984 with construction of a bulk fuel terminal in Dutch Harbor, the key port for fishing fleets in the North Pacific Ocean and the Bering Sea. That's when marine operations were consolidated under the trade name Petro Marine Services.

Today, Harbor Enterprises includes Petro Marine Services, serving Southcentral and Southeast Alaska; Alaska Oil Sales, supplying fuel to the Kenai/Soldotna area; North 60º Petro Ltd., a bulk fuel and distribution company serving the Yukon Territory and northern British Columbia; and Petro Express, an Alaskan network of service stations. Our corporate headquarters remain in Seward.
